Video Cards may be integrated into the motherboard, but more often than not, they are add-on cards like the one pictured above. Older video cards used only 16 bit color, where the newer cards handle 32 bit, 256 and true color. Most video cards also come with built-in memory, allowing for faster graphics, useful when playing video games or using a graphics editing program. This is an AGP card. |
