Tired of flipping through stacks of paperwork to find that one lien you need?  Then you need Chattels!

After listening to the needs of the local County Court Clerk's Office, M & M Programming, Inc. designed a software package which would help those offices store and look-up chattel  data. The result of this effort is Chattels, an Access-based program that will help your office cut back on time lost searching for the one record you need.

Designed for County Court Clerk Offices

From specific data about the individual and their vehicle to information about the parties securing the liens, Chattels stores all of the information necessary to track chattels. Chattels also allows lien data entry to be tracked by date, time and clerk.  Simple lookup screens allow individuals to pull up previously entered chattels by using either the name or lien number.  And, if more than one lien is held by an individual, you can choose the specific lien you need from a query-based list box.

Chattels also makes it easy to continue entering information about one lien.  Each data entry screen contains a continuation and termination button, allowing for easy updating of each lien.  As many continuations as you need can be entered with the click of a button.

Have a lien that is held by a couple?  The data entry screen also features a duplicate button.  Clicking this button copies the current record and takes you to the new record, meaning that you only need to change a few fields and both of the records are completed!

Easy Data Entry

Chattels includes two (2) databases - one for data entry and detailed reports and one database dedicated to lookups.  This allows the County employees full access to all of the information while limiting the public's access to the information.

The program also includes one menu for data entry, two menus for reporting and one menu for printing out forms, if needed.

Data entry / editing menus include:

  • Information on the Individual
  • Secured Party (Bank) Information
  • Clerks
  • Duplicate button for liens held by more than one individual
  • Continuation button for when liens are continued past their original due date
  • Termination button for when the lien has been paid
Easy Reporting

The reporting menus also uses drop down boxes, allowing users to run reports by:

  • Daily Activity
  • Daily Activity by Clerk
  • Daily Activity for New Liens
  • Daily Activity for Continuations
  • Daily Activity for Terminations
  • Open Liens by Secured Party
  • All Liens by Secured Party
  • All Secured Parties Listed
  • All Liens Held by One Individual
